Who are the Klunks?
We're a down-to-earth family who loves to learn, explore, and laugh together. I’m an educator by background—I taught French before stepping away when my daughter was six months old. Now that my children are older, I’ve chosen not to return to full-time work but instead dedicate my time to volunteering in various capacities, with the school board being one of my main focuses.
My husband, John, works with Elliot Health Systems as the Chief Quality Officer of ambulatory services. Before that, he was a Med-Peds physician in one of Elliot’s outpatient clinics. We’ve called Bow home for nearly 20 years and are raising three wonderful (and busy!) children: Gabrielle (14), and twin boys, Alexander and Grayson (11), and our beloved kitty, Cannelle (which means 'cinnamon' in French).
Our family embraces the rhythm of New Hampshire’s four seasons. Year-round, you’ll find us juggling piano, chorus, and trumpet lessons. Fall brings soccer, winter is all about skiing and snowboarding, spring means baseball and softball, and summer is sailing lessons and nonstop swimming at the lake. I also run weekly art and STEM classes for neighborhood kids in the summer, with my children both participating and helping the younger ones.
We believe in raising well-rounded kids, exposing them to as many experiences as possible—whether it’s travel, music, art, or sports (we’ve tried just about everything!). We love concerts, museums, galleries and going to the symphony in Boston. We even tap into our own creative sides with art classes and craft projects.
At the heart of it all, we try to make the most of what Bow offers and we try to give back to the town that has given us so much.
